Leveraging your Brand's Strategy to the Next Level
Many keys to note in leveraging your brand to the next level. Let's explore...
First realize that your brand is what people say it is. This means that the way people talk about your brand, that's really what you're creating. So, if you want to create an awesome brand, then people have to say it's awesome, not you. If you want to make a brand reach to the ends of the earth, then people have to do it, not just you. There's a lot of work in dealing with brands, as well as promotion.
Most of the successful companies that create awesome brands and lift them off so quickly is because they have a repeat good strategy, the people to do it, and purpose behind everything they do. It comes directly from the culture originally created when the first successful brand was launched. What's stopping you? Persistence. Keep trying! Anyway, let's look at some good building blocks for brands.
1. Make your brand meaningful. Have a purpose behind each brand, and leverage it from that purpose platform. Put meaning, personification, and life behind each brand. Let it make sense to the next degree, do what it takes to make a customer know the meaning of it and why it should matter in their life.
How can it stand out? Think about your customers first and then about your company. Know your market/customers and form the purpose of the idea around that. Be intimate, direct, and clear with your market/customers. Directly dealing with customers gives you the edge in meeting their needs, or solving the problem your brand intends to solve.
2. Always keep the conversation going and be smart about your market. Always be aware of what your market needs, keep on communicating with other companies about their brands, and keep getting customer feedback. Be social with your customers so much as to cater to their needs. Be the max in their min, be the Clark to their Kent. Whatever you do, always act as if you're one with a customer. Unite with them. Do what you can to always keep that chain of command going.
You may think it's all about your idea, but realize that a customer's idea chain is better, especially if a customer knows how to solve a problem or complete a problem your company is dealing with. It's not effective to ignore your customers at all.
You may not be able to control the situations, but guiding the conversation and listening in on what the customers are saying can give you great insight on what your brand means to them, how it can change, and much much more!
3. Live out your brand. Be the material, do the material, get the material, etc. Having t-shirts, mugs, other apparel, notepads, pens, etc. with your brand/logo on it, and actually having it around you show that you live out the brand you promote on a constant basis. Instead of being so turned off to work, that you only do work when you're at the workplace or scheduled to work - you should be a walking promotion. You don't have to worry your head about work all the time, but at least liking or loving your company/brand so much should be reflected in your life. Embrace your brand and walk it, live it. Just don't worship it.
4. Keep the brand alive by constant improvement. Always keep on improving your brand, making it better for customers. Make it a common think to evolve your brand further. Apple and Samsung are two biggest examples of this, when they release a new smartphone every six months (more/less). It usually has a different look, some features changed, but overall it reflects the same brand, but on a different level of evolution. Do this all the time, and watch your sales multiply.
In efforts to improve your brand, best of luck to you. Any questions/comments? Post below.
