In the interest of fairness, it's best to note I'm not making assumptions about your character, leaders. This should however help you realize what ways of thinking are not helping. You see, leadership is much more about quality character, but also a good sense of humor, good relationships, and a good attitude!

Here are ways of thinking that are probably holding you back from accomplishing what you want to accomplish in leadership:

  1. You expect people to just give you handouts. What I mean is, you expect people to just pay you for not doing anything. Many people fall into the guilt trap that other people put them through, and so they get money or other stuff from that other person for free. Failing is a necessary, key challenge to get to success. Many people who've failed too many times change their mind about failing, and start creating stuff that they don't expect to have any success. Usually, people think happiness involves adding things to your life to make your life great. But, these tips are more aimed at subtracting things. In turn, it will makes things a lot less stressful. People need to bring their business dream to life, and learn some happiness while they're at it.
  •  Weed out the blaming. For starters, people make mistakes. Vendors may not deliver on time, people may not be on time with project completions, or they may not have things up to code.

However, who is to blame? Well, you can be blamed, too. Taking responsibility is highly important. Why should we worry about blaming someone? Why not take responsibility if it's your issue. If it's someone else's issue, bring it before a manager. At least that's the best way to do it.
