Ace a Job Interview Now with These Tips

I have been one of those in the past to ace a job interview, and besides not acing 1 or 2 interviews, the remainder I seemed to get. Therefore, I have some tips that will help in the job market that you're scoping out. Do you want that job or not?

1. The first thing there is to do is write an awesome resume. But, how? Research online if you don't know how to write an awesome resume. Seek help maybe from an expert resume writer. Would it be worth it? Oh yeah! You want that job, you want that pay, you want the opportunity - therefore take the risk and get help.

2. Don't drag on in a phone interview, if you get one. The key to acing a good interview is doing the right things in person. Not over the phone, necessarily. HOWEVER, it's not that phone interviews aren't important. In fact, they're highly important.

So, make sure to listen closely to the questions asked, answer them accurately and professionally, and don't try to sell yourself. Sometimes, the caller for the phone interview may not be the actual recruiter, but don't bet on this. Have a set of examples prepped beforehand to backup claims made on your resume.

3. Ask what type of attire to wear to the interview, if you're not sure what type of company it is. If it happens to be a fashion company, then obviously wear something that they manufacture or sell, and keep it nice. If you're in recruit mode of a corporation, you may need a suit and tie. That's why it's always best to ask, if unsure.

When you do dress for the occasion, make yourself look snappy...perfect...awesome for an interview. But, NOT over the top! Just something to make the recruiter go "wow" or "oooh, very good!"

4. Ace your interview by listening carefully, having some good integrity, and being & knowing yourself.

Recruiters want you to be yourself in business mode, so that way they will know how you will appear in normal situations, how you react, and if you're truthful and honest about your own character.

5. Interview the interviewer so to speak, is a great way to (not put the interviewer on the spot, but) come up with a way to clearly demonstrate your interest in a position, especially if very interested. The goal of asking questions is to gather more information, not put them on the spot.

6. Stay SHARP from beginning to end, so you can ace the interview no matter what. Don't ever assume the job is yours for sure, but rather be on your aim. Follow the tips above and hope that you have aced it. You want to ace it, you need to ace it, so do it!

7. Finally, follow-up is usually the best thing to do, but only follow up one or two times within a one-week time period. It's bad practice to call more than once every three days, because human resources workers, interviewers, and recruiters have plenty of work to do, rather than just worry about you.

Show yourself as a good candidate by following up and thanking them for a good interview (honestly, a short thanks will probably do).

HR workers don't tend to get a lot of thank yous. So, you may or may not get brownie points for thanking them.

So, what do you do to ace interviews? Comment below or make suggestions. I appreciate it kindly!
