Making your business dream come to life

If you've ever been down the path of wanting to start a new business, which a lot of us have had, then you know the feeling of trying to make the business dream a reality. How to make it come to life without risking it all, or how to hire people and make decisions. These are factors that people suddenly flood their minds with.

There are many ways to turn your business dream in to a reality, and make it come to life. Here is the list:
  1. Change your vocabulary first of all! Taking action is a key to getting unstuck, and very necessary to produce growth. What you need to do is the start speaking to other people in terms of positive vocabulary. Which means, instead of saying "we have slow growth right now", say "our growth is catching up, and will improve soon". By switching that up in our first example, you're making it a point that no matter the bad circumstance, you'll still be optimistic about the future.

Another issue that can be tweaked in vocabulary, would be to realize that if you're not careful with what you say, people will try to run with bad facts, false statements, etc. These bad things that occur in vocabulary can cost a company a lot of money.
  2. Hire killjoys to be employed. You need some people hired that can kill any extra ideas. The problem with a lot of entrepreneurs is that they come up with so many ideas that they cannot possibly choose one. But, you should...absolutely, be able to choose a core set of ideas and flush all the others down the drain.

When you go to hire killjoys, they should be analytical, ready to give harsh feedback, and work on a team well. Killjoys capture every action step, say no to new ideas, and are not exactly people to keep around forever. These temporary needed employees are great to help out in the startup stage especially. But, if you're having problems expanding your business, having a killjoy around will help keep the excess buzz down in your mind.
  3. Bias yourself toward action. Accountability is a feature of people who like to take action. Find someone to be accountable to, and take some action. Make sure that person or people constantly keep you on edge about taking action.
Keep in mind that idea overload is one of the main reasons why startups fail, and it'd be great for you to realize that a few ideas are better than a ton. While you may think of yourself as super visionary, but if you try to do everything, you'll fail. Slow down, keep a killjoy around, and hope for the best for your future.
